The last time I ran the Kalalau Trail in and out in the same day was absolutely perfect. It rained a bit in the beginning which kept the temps cool but the weather cleared when it mattered. I was able to start before sunrise which kept the direct sunlight off of me the whole way in which helps save tons of energy. I was able to take a solid lunch at the beach.
